CDP

Formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project.
In one sentence

The organization that collects environmental data from companies at the request of investors and customers, and scores it from D- to A.

Who asks for it

The request can come from a customer, from the investors and financial institutions that sign with CDP, or from a bank or initiative you belong to. You can also respond on your own.

How it scores

The bands run from D to A and each one measures something different. D, for Disclosure, measures how complete the report is. C, for Awareness, measures how far you assessed the relationship between your business and the environment. B, for Management, gives points for evidence of action. A, for Leadership, requires showing best practice.

What it costs

Companies pay an administrative fee before submitting their response. They are exempt if the request came only from a Supply Chain member customer, the banks program, Private Markets or RE100.

For Latin America excluding Brazil, the 2026 fees are 2,575, 1,840 or 1,175 US dollars depending on the tier, before taxes.

When to respond

The window opens once a year. The final date of the 2026 cycle is October 28.

Verification

CDP only recognizes verification carried out by a third party under a standard on its list, which includes ISO 14064-3.
