Carbon footprint software, country by country

Nine carbon footprint platforms used in Chile, Peru, Mexico, Colombia and Spain, compared on what each one publishes: headquarters, official programs named, scopes, how data gets in and pricing. With a section per country.
Updated Nov 4, 2026

There are many platforms for measuring a company's carbon footprint, and almost all of them calculate under the GHG Protocol. What changes most between them is something else: whether they know your country's official program and whether they prepare the report that program asks for.

This guide compares nine platforms used in Chile, Peru, Mexico, Colombia and Spain, based on what each one publishes on its own website as of November 4, 2026. Grumbic is one of the nine: we publish this page, which is why we only use facts anyone can check on each company's website.

How to choose

Before looking at the table, it helps to have three answers clear.

  1. Which program you report to. In Chile it is HuellaChile, in Peru the Huella de Carbono Perú, in Mexico the RENE, in Colombia Ley 2169 and in Spain the MITECO registry. Each has its own format and dates.
  2. Which scopes you are asked for. A national program usually starts with scopes 1 and 2. A large customer or a questionnaire such as EcoVadis may also ask for scope 3.
  3. How you will load the data. By hand, uploading spreadsheets, reading invoices or connecting the ERP. This decides how much work each year takes and how easy it is to show the backing to the verifier.

Each platform, in one line

AirCO2 (airco2.earth). Carbon footprint platform, based in Pontevedra. Lists Spain, Mexico and Portugal among its countries. Reads invoices, connects to ERPs and accepts Excel and CSV. Names the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, SBTi and CSRD, and sends the report to MITECO from the platform.

BeeOk (beeok.cl). Platform with artificial intelligence and sustainability services, with offices in Santiago, Lima, Bogotá and Puebla. Names HuellaChile and support for equivalent programs in Peru, Colombia and Mexico. Reports in line with ISO 14064 and offers the reduction plan, offsetting and certification support as services.

CarbonTrack (carbontrack.mx). Mexican web platform for managing emissions. Its plans page names the RENE report, state carbon tax estimates and the GHG Protocol report, without saying which plan includes each one.

Dcycle (dcycle.io). Operational and environmental data platform, based in Madrid. States more than 2,000 customers. Reads invoices with AI, connects to ERPs and has an API. Names CSRD, CDP, EcoVadis, SBTi, ISO 14064, the GHG Protocol and CBAM.

Grumbic (grumbic.com). Platform for measuring and reporting the carbon footprint, based in Chile with offices in Santiago and Seville. Reads invoices with AI, connects to accounting systems and ERPs, and links every figure to the document it came from. Calculates under the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1. Prepares the reports for HuellaChile, Huella de Carbono Perú, the RENE, Ley 2169 and the MITECO registry, the carbon section of CDP and EcoVadis, and GRI reports.

Manglai (manglai.io). Platform for managing environmental impact, built in Barcelona. States customers in 70 countries. Reads invoices, accepts files and connects to ERPs through an API. Names the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, CSRD, SBTi and the MITECO registry, and also measures water and product footprints.

Presgo (presgo.com). Modular ESG reporting software, developed by Azeus. Centralizes data from several sources, with spreadsheets, APIs and AI validation. Names more than 50 frameworks, among them the GHG Protocol, ESRS, GRI, CDP and SBTi.

sinCarbono (sincarbono.io). Carbon footprint platform for companies in Latin America, based in Monterrey, that also supports companies in implementing decarbonization plans. Takes data through spreadsheets and ERP integrations. Names the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064-1 and the IPCC.

Zero Company (zerocompany.cl). B2B carbon footprint platform with hands-on support, based in Chile. Offers an initial diagnostic of scopes 1, 2 and 3, reports for audits and tenders, and sustainability training. Names the HuellaChile seal.

Chile

The official program is HuellaChile, from the Ministry of the Environment, with four recognition seals (guide).

  • Name HuellaChile on their website: BeeOk, Grumbic and Zero Company.
  • Based in Chile: BeeOk, Grumbic and Zero Company. BeeOk has an office in Santiago.

Peru

The official program is MINAM's Huella de Carbono Perú, with four recognition levels (guide).

  • Names Huella de Carbono Perú on its website: Grumbic.
  • With an office in Peru: BeeOk, in Lima.

Mexico

The mandatory report is the National Emissions Registry, the RENE, for establishments emitting 25,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent or more a year, and several states charge carbon taxes (guide).

  • Name the RENE on their website: CarbonTrack, on its plans page, and Grumbic.
  • Names state carbon taxes: CarbonTrack.
  • Based in Mexico: CarbonTrack and sinCarbono. BeeOk has an office in Puebla. AirCO2 lists Mexico among its countries.

Colombia

Ley 2169 creates the Mandatory Emissions Report, phased in from 2027 (guide).

  • Names Ley 2169 on its website: Grumbic.
  • With an office in Colombia: BeeOk, in Bogotá.

Spain

Royal Decree 214/2025 requires certain companies to calculate their footprint, and the MITECO registry is voluntary (guide).

  • Name the MITECO registry: AirCO2, Grumbic and Manglai. Dcycle names MITECO emission factors.
  • Based in Spain: AirCO2, Dcycle and Manglai.

When Grumbic fits

Grumbic is the only one of the nine that names an official program on its product pages in each of the four Latin American countries. It fits if:

  • You report to HuellaChile, Huella de Carbono Perú, the RENE or Ley 2169, or to more than one.
  • Your data sits in fuel, electricity and supplier invoices, and you do not want to enter it by hand.
  • You need to show the verifier the document behind every figure.

How we made this comparison

We reviewed each platform's website on November 4, 2026: product, plans, FAQ and about pages. We only include what each company publishes about itself. If a platform offers something its website does not mention, it appears here as "not stated".

We chose the platforms AI assistants name most when asked about carbon footprint software in these countries, plus three that work in Mexico: CarbonTrack, sinCarbono and AirCO2. We review this guide every quarter.
